Val-D’Isere & Tignes
Snow play areas:
Both ski resorts have dedicated areas where your children can play safely in the snow. Enjoy building snowmen, having snowball fights, building igloos, making snow angels. They both have gentle slopes within these areas to also enjoy some exhilarating sledding for all ages!
Ice Skating
Val-D’Isere has a picturesque ice skating rink in the heart of the town where you can enjoy some chilled down time gliding across the ice rink rather than the slopes. It makes for a fantastic activity to enjoy some time in the town. They provide rental boots and balance chairs for those little beginners! Lace up those skates and let the fun begin!
Igloo Village
An enchanting outdoor snow area in Tignes that consists of a snow maze, igloos, a snow castle and much more, with different elements added and changed periodically throughout the winter!
Snow-tubing
This is an extremely popular activity in Tignes that involves sliding down a slope on a huge inflatable tube at an increasing speed. Snow-tubing offers a fun and thrilling experience for people of all ages to enjoy!
Farm
The farm ‘Adroit is based in Val-D’Isere where you can get up close and personal with some of the farms furry/feathery residents. The farm also has a local organic restaurant there in which they use their own products such as their cheese and milk. This is a definite visit for anyone who loves all things farmyard! Oink Oink!
Swimming
Tignes and Val-D’Isere both offer wonderful, modern public swimming facilities for everyone to enjoy, consisting of fun water slides, floats and wellness areas. In Val-DIsere you will find the swimming pool inside the ‘Centre Aquasportif’ which is situated in the centre of the village. In Tignes you will find this inside the ‘Lagon’ also in the centre of town in Tignes by the main piste area. Don’t forget to bring your swimwear!
Rock Climbing
There is a rock climbing wall based within the ‘Centre Aquasportif’ in Val-D’Isere. This has different sections to use depending on your ability, you can climb with ropes or free climb. There is a smaller section for children to enjoy and learn to do a new activity!
